It’s pretty bad when your in house Publishing department has had nothing to publish in a little over a year … but that’s what’s going on today.
When N.I. Comics first started, we were turning out a new book at least Bi Monthly. Since we do all the Planning, Writing, and Art ourselves… without the luxury of having like 20 guys working on the same issue… things can take a while.
This is not saying that N.I. Comics is going away. In fact..the entire Storyline of the 10 issue run of Superhero University is Finished and other books such as GOTO HELL and Comic Medley are just around the corner.
With that said, yes, I am aware that a new issue hasn’t come around. Our Company has been focusing on Our Partnerships with Rifftrax.com and Shinobi Enterprises… not to mention our move to HD Video and Blip.TV. The Comics took somewhat of a backseat, until we can get a finalized schedule.
While I can offer no excuse as to why we aren’t turning out the books… I can tell you that several (now Failed) projects entered our line of sight… only to be shot down and becoming a complete waste of time.
For a time, Superhero University was to be a Video Game for Xbox Live… we were never so ready to dive into something… only to find out that making the game we wanted was not possible. Time Well Wasted.
Superhero University was then extended, to become a Cartoon Series. Only to once again be met with demise. We worked on it, and yet could never make it come together….More Time Wasted.
We even tried to solicit S.U. as a Live action Web series (Al la The Guild) … sadly, this too never came to pass.
In what is probably a dumb and meaningless choice. All these Projects still live inside me…. and I refuse to let them go without a good long fight. I am, however learning at a somewhat alarming pace, that you always can’t make what you think up become reality.
With that said, I wish to thank our readers for their patience, and hopefully I will complete the S.U. Comic book series this year. And… just maybe, one or two of these “Living Ideas” will find it’s way into reality….
….. maybe.
